What is TuitionFund®?
TuitionFund® is an educational savings program
that helps your customers defray the costs of higher education expenses
or pay down student loans.Your participation as a TuitionFund® merchant
lets your customers know you care about them while also encouraging
them to remain loyal to your business.
How does it work?
Consumers enroll in a sponsoring licensee's (e.g. bank or financial services company) TuitionFund® program and register their credit and/or debit card accounts they desire to use to make qualifying purchases eligible for merchant-funded rebates from participating merchants, in the applicable sponsor's TuitionFund® program. When a qualifying purchase is made from a participating merchant using a registered card account, a rebate due from the participating merchant will be calculated and automatically drafted from the merchant's designated bank account at selected intervals and the rebates will be 1) deposited into the participating member's designated savings or investment account, 2) applied against a participating member's designated student loan account, or 3) all or part of the rebate will be donated to a charitable organization affiliated with a college or university. The rebates may be held in a holding or custodial account for a period of up to six months by the TuitionFund® sponsoring bank or financial services company prior to being made available to the participating member's designated account to properly account for possible merchandise returns and allowances. No special loyalty cards, member identification cards, or equipment are needed with the program. An enrolled member simply pays for their qualifying purchase using one of their registered card accounts and the sponsoring organization or its agents capture the qualifying transactions as they are processed by the credit and debit card processing system.

What does it cost me?
Generally, there are no fees charged by TuitionFund, LLC or the licensing sponsor to the merchant for participating in a licensed TuitionFund® program. The sponsoring organization (e.g. bank or financial services company) or its agents, retain a portion of the rebate to cover the program's administrative and marketing costs. The merchant's only direct cost is the rebate itself, which should more than pay for itself from increased traffic, sales, and customer loyalty.
How will consumers learn
about TuitionFund®?
Participating merchants may promote themselves
in traditional media and online as a participating merchant in the
TuitionFund® program. Participating merchants will also be displayed on the sponsoring organization's website and the sponsoring organization's website will provide a link to a participating merchant's website to facilitate on-line shopping. In addition, there may be opportunities for cost-effective cooperative advertising with other participating merchants participating in a sponsoring organization's TuitionFund® program. In-store marketing materials may also be made available by the sponsoring organization.
We suggest adding the TuitionFund
logo to your existing marketing and, for brick-and-mortar merchants,
displaying a TuitionFund® sticker on your door to enable your customers
to recognize your location as their preferred shopping destination.
